With cPanel or Plesk Control panels. you can create email accounts and control spam filtering; you can create multiple ftp users if you have content that you need to share. With Plesk you can also upload your site through ftp or with Microsoft Frontpage, or you can upload it as one zip file which is then extracted to exactly where it needs to be. Both mysql and mssql are supported by Plesk so database driven sites are easy to get up and running.
